5 Ways to Use Brave Healing to Share Your Message in a Bigger Way

Brave healing is about finding, embracing and using your voice in a way that heals you and the people who read or listen to your stuff. For those of us who grew up shy, afraid, unworthy and ashamed, this is a monumental task, but it’s the stuff of therapeutic expression, healing, purpose, and ultimately how we change the world.

I grew up a child of divorce and learned to stay afraid of speaking up. While my mom knew how to lift me up, my dad struggled with his own demons and did not. I learned to stay quiet. Felt unworthy and afraid most of my young adult life, and only recently healed that wound well enough to be standing on stages speaking my message.

Brave healing is what got me from painfully shy and unworthy to speaking out loud for bigger audiences and inspiring them to do the same. I wrote a book about it this year; a combination of personal story and powerful tools. Brave Healing, a Guide for Your Journey will help you feel worthy and brave and lead you through exercises to help you get in touch with your inner warrior, wise healer and badass. Because you have a message, and it matters. And it’s time to share it with the world.

Here are 5 ways to use Brave Healing to start getting your message out to the world:

1. Inner Work

You must be willing to build a foundation of awareness and mindset that serves the goal you have. The inner work is about feeling. Since most of us were taught not to feel, this can be a struggle at first. Feeling is healing. When you give yourself permission to feel everything, the magic will begin.

2. Intuition

Getting in touch with your intuition is part of the inner work. This is a practice you’ll master over a lifetime. It’s not about perfection. It’s about the practice. Learning to trust your body and the sensations and learn her/his language is going to serve the bigger goals you have for sharing. The idea is to start to listen to your own messages, rather than everyone else’s rules for your life.

3. Being Out Loud

As painful as it might be, starting to express yourself, in any form, out loud to other people is where the deeper learning will happen. Pay attention to your triggers. Every little bit of resistance in you is a window to an opportunity to heal. This is more inner work, but inner work does not end. It only gets easier and more magical.

4. Write in Your Journal

Through everything you’re going through - write your thoughts, dreams, ideas and triggers down. Write about how things made you feel. Write. Write. Write. When you Feng Shui your soul by moving things from inside to out, you clear a space for the connection to creativity and courage to move through.

5. Share Your Dreams with Someone

This is about accountability. Say it out loud. When you being to speak your message and what matters to you out loud you begin to feel more accountable to your own dreams. This is a powerful and courageous manifesting tool!
